Can You Still Have The American Dream of Business Ownership?

It’s an interesting question to me actually. It may seem that today with all the large corporations merging and taking over the markets they’re in, is there still room for the average person to have their own business? From my vantage point the answer is YES! And it’s even easier today, than it has ever been.

I am old enough to remember the days before the internet. I know that was a long time ago right? When it began there were no business opportunities for the average American. It was all about the browsers, chat rooms and email back then. Netscape, AOL and others were trying to dominate it first. The start of being able to buy something online was in its infancy because no one knew how to take payments yet. Amazon was a baby still!

Today we can have our own online business that allows you to sell just about anything to anyone in the world. The “E-Commerce” term is not heard much any more because we are all used to shopping online and having the items show up the next day. Thanks to Amazon, we all have the expectations of see it now, get it now. So how can you take advantage of this?

You can have your own EBAY store or be an Amazon reseller. You can have an Etsy shop or just about any online business website you can dream of!

You can earn money by promoting others people products and websites through affiliate marketing too. The earning potential is pretty much limitless.

BRICK AND MORTAR BUSINESS

Is it still viable to have a successful brick and mortar store? I think the answer is a definite yes. There will still be the desire to have an experience and you can only get that when you visit a store and walk the aisles. Check out what Target and Walmart are doing lately. The motif has been changed to be more inviting. They have added back some old staples like music and lighting to make you want to stay longer. In some stores like Sprouts and others they have a lounge you can sit and enjoy eating your purchases all along with the obligatory free WI-FI. And even the world’s largest online retailer Amazon bought Whole Foods to have a physical store presence.

Some businesses will never be online 100%. You may want to consider starting a restaurant or other entertainment type business. The only concerns with conventional businesses is they are generally capital intensive and risky. If you have an online business you just don’t have the overhead, so you can start for a low investment and you don’t need to mortgage the house! Low investment equals lower risk!

HOME BASED BUSINESS

This one is a bit of a hybrid because most home based businesses are really run out of your home, but still may have a significant online presence. There are some that are home based, in that you are producing a product that is sold online and/or at regional shows or events. The lines are getting blurred. What about promoting your business online or using social media? Does that make it an online business? What if you accept order online and fulfil out of your home? Well you get the point.

MULTIPLE INCOME STREAMS

One interesting trend is being able to have more than one stream of income. There is  a trend where many companies are not hiring workers permanently any more. They are using contractors. This allows them to have the human resources on a per project or task basis. It may be more cost effective and they can be released easier and faster when the project is done. I know people who are more “freelance” in their work and are getting work from more than one source. Sounds a lot like having your own business. Tax benefits and all.

For many people there is the desire to start and own their own business in addition to working a job. This is for many reasons, including having extra income to live but also to have the extra things in life or set up a retirement income stream too.

Today it is even easier to have the American Dream of having your own business! You don’t have to quit your job to do it. You don’t need a second mortgage and you don’t need to risk everything. You can start small and build large. Earn while you learn.  If you have ever watched the popular TV show Shark Tank then you know all it takes is one idea to hit it big.

If it has always been your dream then don’t wait! It is easy to start today. It won’t fall into your lap so just get started moving forward.

How to Start Your Own CBD Business

There has been a lot of interest in CBD Oil to help people with lingering pain, anxiety and other issues that seem to plague us as humans as we grow older. There is also a lot of news on how CBD can help your pets. I have seen first hand the benefits of this for my dogs and have written about it here.

This not the best way to do it actually. There are a lot of regulations when you start a conventional business. Additionally there are significant costs involved. I know my ideal business does not have these things in it. Storefronts, buildings, employees, inventory, insurance, book keeping, large investments, long pay back periods, sourcing products, marketing, sales and stress.

When you really evaluate what you are looking to achieve I don’t think many people will want to start this way. Let’s see what is the best way to do this!

Best Way to Start

In my opinion the best way to begin is to evaluate the CBD products and companies that offer you an option to start a network marketing business with their products.

This allows you the best option and the lowest risk. With this you have no large investment and you don’t have to figure out any of the stuff listed above.

For under $100 you can start building your own business right away. You get the same tax benefits and income earning potential without all the trouble and stress.

Think how fast you can become profitable with this type of business! You can make your initial investment back in a week! Then it’s all profit from there.

For some people it is not a “real” business unless they put everything on the line, including their home. That is an old way of thinking that still happens today.

Now it is about working smarter not harder. Why risk everything when you can be successful faster and with a minimal downside?

Network Marketing Business? What is it exactly?

The simplest way I can explain this, is like this. You know how you will tell a friend about a great restaurant you found or a great movie you saw? You tell them how they should try it, or see it because you just know they will love it as much as you do.

So the next week they go and eat at the restaurant and they in fact do love it! When you referred your friend, did the restaurant send you a thank you card with money in it for helping them get a new customer and grow their business? Nope.

Then your friend tells someone they know about the restaurant they just loved and then they go too. Just by your word of mouth promotion of this restaurant they gained two customers and increased their business again.

YOU received nothing other than good feeling about how you helped your friends out.

Everyone does this either in person or on social media, but not many get paid a referral fee for it. In Network Marketing it works exactly the same except everyone can earn a little bit from these referrals.

You Are Already Doing It

As we have already covered, everyone is already doing this. You are a consumer and you already share with others how great what you have discovered is. Now it’s time to get paid along the way.

This business is very easy. You just share what your experiences are with the CBD products with people who you believe it can help. If You Don’t Like Other People, Then Network Marketing IS For You! Really!

If you are introverted, shy or just don’t like working with other people then you can still being very successful. I have been a shy person most of my life. I have to “work” at being a bit more extroverted or people think I’m mad, angry, bummed or something. Most of the time I’m just thinking about things.

When I started in an MLM called Amway in 1989 I was having a very difficult time sharing the business idea with people, in person. That was way before we all had internet in our homes and on our phones. I had to learn to call cold contacts on the phone or approach them in person. Wow! That was a bit challenging but I finally got pretty good at it. I would even teach others in my group how to call people out of the phone book and set up meetings to show the business plan.

Today we don’t have to do that at all if we don’t want to. Although, I do still talk to other people face to face about my MLM; I primarily build it online using the same methods that you would for online dating in a way.  Instead of generating dates. I generate leads online using several different techniques. We share the business opportunity and products online, we can email or text. And many times we still have a phone call to go over the details of how things work and to get some questions answered that are harder to ask and answer in a text.

If we share everything else online and on social media so comfortably, then why not share about our business and learn to establish business relationships as well.

What’s really amazing is that I can build my business with 100% cold contacts and some people are joining my business that I have not even met or talked with at all!

Now, I do believe that you need to establish a relationship with your team members who are actively building. Ultimately you will want to develop your team and leaders. You just cannot do that by not communicating with them. Hopefully by that time you will have learned how to be better at working with others and you can learn this as your business grows.

Blend the best of both online and offline business build methods. Use all the tools available to you and don’t forget to read books and articles that help you grow as a leader too!

Why Amway And Other MLM Companies Are Not Cults

The thought that some people have about Amway and other MLM companies being cults has always amazed me. There are times when I wished they were, because in cults people blindly do what the cult leaders tell them to do. Our team members all have minds of their own and businesses of their own and they can do what they want to do.

Anyone who has actually been part of building a network marketing team or organization can tell you that almost no one does what they are asked or told to do regarding building their business. Even when they are the ones asking! That right there should convince you it’s not a cult. But let’s examine some of the concerns people have stated that tells them it’s a cult.

#1 The People In MLM Have A Cult Like Attachment To Their Company

I find this one very interesting as most people have an attachment to their employers company but don’t seem to think it’s a cult. In MLM people are supportive of the company and its products because it is supporting their business too. As far as people having a cult like following, you should check into the companies like Facebook, Google, Yahoo or Apple. Their employees are the most involved, passionate, cultist people I have ever seen outside of a real cult. They have their own campuses for their people with living areas, chef run kitchens and lounge spaces to encourage you to be creative and dedicated at all hours of the day. People are driven to be part of these companies.

If the naysayers meant people who are dedicated to what they are doing in a business of their own, then that could be confused with a cult, I guess.

#2 The People Are Very Religious

It is true some people in network marketing are religious. Some are not. It is a business that accepts all kinds of people and has no prejudgment for religious affiliation. It seems like some of the people who have been part of a MLM business have been uncomfortable with people having a pledge of allegiance or a prayer before a meeting or  a seminar. I myself don’t think it should be part of the business proceedings and that it can be off putting for some people.

However it is a right that owning your own business brings. It is no different than what the founder of Chik-Fil-A decided to do. Many of the company’s values are influenced by the religious beliefs of its late founder, S. Truett Cathy, a devout Southern Baptist. Most notably, all Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed for business on Sundays, as well as on Thanksgiving and Christmas.

That does not make them a cult does it? Even the Federal government of the USA closes down on these holidays. We all happily enjoy the paid time off for holidays from our employers right? No double standard there right?

#3 The People Are Fanatical

This can be another true observation that some people in MLM are very passionate about their opportunity to build their own business. It shows us that the American Dream which is so alive in immigrants to the USA, can also be stimulated in the people who are already here. It’s too bad so many people have forgotten or never knew that the USA was built on people who had their own businesses not jobs,

Most people were farmers, tradesmen and artisans before the industrial revolution. You know , people like bakers, tailors, blacksmiths, barbers, weavers, apothecaries etc.

These people were also fanatics about what they did. If not; they would not be able to survive.

Owning your own MLM business is like that in a way. The way, that allows you to be excited to build something for you and your family. That brings out the passion and excitement in people that had no other opportunity to start a business of their own with very little money or training. Somehow being excited about your own enterprise is now a cult. I guess they have never seen the people who go on the show Shark Tank or the Profit. They are fanatical about what they are doing. Starting and owning their own business.

I think it just makes some people uncomfortable that they are bored and not excited about their jobs but don’t have the ambition to do something of their own. Sad really.

I think that people just need to give other people their space to do what they want to do. As long as it does not affect you or what you are doing then keep moving on with your life, would you? If you were offered an opportunity to build your own business by a friend or family member then feel lucky that they saw something in you, that maybe you don’t. Possibly they believe in your capability more than you do. Feel fortunate; not put off by the invitation. They had your best interest in mind.

And if you decided not to join them in their “cult” then you proved my point that network marketing companies like Amway and others cannot be a cult, since no one does what we ask or tell them to do in MLM. How to Sponsor Engineers in Network Marketing

Lets face it Engineers are not the most people friendly prospects you would want to work with in your network marketing business. I know first hand, because I am one.

I have only been prospected two times in my life for a network marketing opportunity, and both time I joined. I certainly wasn’t the easiest person to deal with both times.

The first time my soon to be sponsor and I argued for about 2 hours on the follow up phone call. I argued that the Amway business couldn’t work and that no one would do this business. This was in 1989 when Amway only did about $2 billion in business!!! Duh! So of course I knew everything about it, even though I didn’t. Finally my sponsor told me “fine then don’t build it!”

Now that really upset me and I then proceeded to tell him that I would join and show him this wouldn’t work if its the last thing I do. I know; that was really dumb for me to say that too. I eventually did apologize and we did build a successful Amway/Quixtar business. I’m no longer in Amway but the method worked that got me interested and it can work for you too.

All We See Are Problems

I guess once he tried to pull the opportunity away from me, I did not like it and I wouldn’t let him. There’s a lesson to be learned here when dealing with Engineers. We always see a problem that can be solved. Sometimes posing the business opportunity as a potential problem that needs to be solved may help you reach the engineers you know. Tell them you found a business opportunity that you don’t think can work and they will figure it all out for you. In the process they may even join you.

Sharing the Opportunity

Here is my best advice on this topic. Don’t tell the Engineering prospect how great this business is, and how much fun it is. How they will get to meet all kinds of different people, and be recognized for achievements and such.  And never, ever tell them that you have these really cool “functions” or “Seminars & Rallys”. It won’t work because we don’t care about that stuff. (at least outwardly). Additionally we don’t like that many people and we are generally introverts and afraid of public situations. That’s why we became engineers, right? We like computers, and machinery and software.

I remember the first Seminar and Rally I went to very clearly. I am pretty sure I am still traumatized by it actually.  The seminar was great! Lots of information and how to’s. We like that kind of stuff. The problem was in between the two sessions where some of the leaders wanted to get everyone excited and “fired up”.

They started competing in different sections of the room saying “I’m excited how about you?” to see who was louder. I think I was ready to walk out right then. I’m done here!

Engineers like data and scientific studies, testing and reports. We need to know how everything works. So be prepared to be able to explain it all. If you’re not you may find yourself in front of an Engineer who will take one look at your information, then proceed to explain to you how it works. That may be okay actually!

Following Up

My advice here is to be ready to overcome objections and answer more questions. Appeal to their logical side as we make many decisions “logically”. That being said continue to try to get out of your engineer prospect what his/her hobbies and interest are. Try to find out what his/her goals are. This may best be done by asking questions about the latest hot car. Or talking about the coolest airplane or video on this cool electronic gadget that allows you to bend space and time. Those things are of interest to Engineers and will allow you to establish some level of rapport. Find out what they liked best about what they saw. Don’t be surprised if you do not get an answer to that question. But instead they tell you what they did not like. This is typical of most people actually, not just engineers.

Be direct and say “I want to partner with you in this business”. Most Engineers cannot say no to a request for help and they may see this as a way to show you how much they know. We like that kind of thing.

Teaching and Training System

Once you have enrolled your engineer get them involved in the teaching and training system. They love that stuff. The more data and information the better, remember?

This will help them to get the details that they “need” to be able to move forward. I also suggest you get them with your experienced upline when you can so they can get a different perspective as soon as possible. It helps when they meet other like minded people.

Be Patient

Hang in there but don’t wait around for the Engineer to start building. The best thing is to leave them in the dust and asking you for help as you move on without them! Engineers are competitive and like to be right about everything.

They don’t like to lose, more than they like to win. So make them keep up with you.

As always you need to share with everyone, but keep in mind these tips for your technical people prospects. This includes doctors, engineers and scientists.

Keep at it and don’t be afraid to circle back to those who did not get involved right away.

Why You Should Have A Retirement Income

If you are thinking about your retirement days you probably have the same worries as most of us do. How much income do I need and how can I save that much?

How Much Income Do I Need?

There are many retirement calculators out there, but it is sometimes very disappointing to find out you cannot afford to save as much as they say you will need to. In any case most people live paycheck to paycheck and we don’t hardly stop to think about exactly how much we need to retire on. Most experts have you factoring in that you will spend less in your retirement years, but is that really accurate?

First, figure out what lifestyle you want to live. If it’s the same as you have now while you are working; then that may require some additional income streams to be able to provide it. If you really look at the cost of living you will get a better picture of what things will cost in the future. Don’t use the government inflation rates as they are not accurate when it comes to things people really buy. Things like food, gasoline, heating oil, electricity and health care. Those items seem to go up continually at a rate that far exceeds the annual inflation rate. So you need to prepare for that.

Additional Income Streams

For many people the amount of retirement savings and investments will not add up to enough for them to live the desired lifestyle when they retire. In some case they may not be able to retire at all.

Financial experts seem to only talk about two options. Save more and live on less. Both of these are fine ideas but there is another option to add into that plan. Start your own online or home based business. Many people do not consider this option because they assume you have to go into debt or quit your job to be able to start and run a profitable business.

That’s just not the case anymore

Today for less than $100 you can start and own your own business. Having a second stream of income outside of your job is smart on more than one level. Yes it can be used to supplement your current job income. It also can be sent directly into your retirement vehicle. Or you can simply use it to reduce your debt. Pay off your home early or just save it.

The great news is that after you retire from your employer you can continue to grow your business and that income can grow to greatly supplement your retirement income. It may even surpass it one day.

Early Retirement

For some people retirement means doing nothing but hanging around their home and for others it means traveling the world. Some people think that when someone retires they don’t do anything anymore. I think that’s not a very accurate depiction of the retirement years today. The old mentality of old people sitting in rocking chairs at Shady Acres Rest Home is a long way from most peoples retirement goals.

What if you had enough income to retire early what would that be worth to you?  What if you could retire from your job 5 years early? Or even just 2 years? There are now tens of thousands of people who are growing various online and home based business opportunities. There are websites and even magazines dedicated to helping people find a business opportunity that can be built in your spare time. Some of the best are discussed in my other article here.

For most people today, retirement means freedom; to do what they want. When they want. There is no doubt that you will now have the time. But will you have the money?

Time and Money

Start to consider the current retirement plan you have. If you don’t have one start looking at what you need to do. Many banks and even your employer can help you get started.

It can be pretty scary to finally face the reality that you need to have more income to really have the retirement lifestyle you want. Both Time and Money!

If you look around many people who have a lot of time, don’t have any money. Likewise the people who have a lot of money don’t have a lot of free time.

Set your goals to have both, in your retirement years! That’s why we work so hard right?

Lets recap:

#2 Evaluate your current retirement plans to see if it matches up to #1

#3 Adjust the plan as needed. Not the goal. Keep your goals and adjust your plans, always.

#4 Set up additional income streams if needed

Don’t give up. Just keep thinking and learning about what the options are and how you can achieve your goals. Then make a decision and get started.

The Real Network Marketing Story

Everyone seems to have some idea of what network marketing is and may have even been involved at one time or another in a network marketing company. Many people have heard of Amway, Mary Kay and Herbalife; which are all network marketing businesses.

Some of the people you talk to about your business opportunity or products may believe they know what it’s all about because they had a second cousin, who had a friend who didn’t make any money in network marketing. And of course they think they can’t either.

In my experience most people don’t really understand what we are doing but definitely have some preconceived ideas. To be able to help those people get a better understanding you need to be calm and provide clear answers. Its true many people don’t make any money in network marketing. But that is usually due to them not actually doing the work it requires.

If you don’t want to share what you are doing and you don’t want to promote your products or opportunity then network marketing is probably not for you.

However if you are excited about learning how to build your own business then with some hard work and possibly some additional personal growth you can learn how to be successful. It’s no different that when you first started to work a job. You needed to be trained. Here though you’r training to be your own boss. The CEO of your own business.

The good news is that your in business for yourself but not by yourself!

Look for  a network marketing company with a teaching and training system. In some ways you will be going back to school to learn how to become successful.

The best way to make contacts in Network Marketing

I was involved in network marketing in the early 90’s and the way we built our network marketing business was initially by talking to our friends and family about the business and the products. A few of them decided to get involved with us and it actually worked out pretty good. With that start we built a good size team and were able to help others in our group achieve some of their goals as well.

Eventually we all run out of names on the friends and family list and need to work with our warm market. These are the folks we know as acquaintances. Some of these people are working with you or are involved with you in some fashion. For example the person who you see everyday at work. The pest service guy, the same person at the gym you go to who you’ve been talking to but don’t invite over to your home.

Talking to these people can be intimidating initially because now you are in a business of your own and it seems awkward. It didn’t before when you would talk about the weather or something in the news, right?  So what do you say now?

Remember they didn’t ask you to show them your business straight out. You have to listen to people. They tell you things that allow you to see how you can help them. Listen to what they complain about. Then you can offer a solution. Don’t be surprised if some people are not really interested in solving the issues they complain about. Some people just like having something to complain about. Don’t be upset, just move on.

Remember you have something to change their life for the better. You don’t have to feel bad about yourself because they were not interested. Feel bad for them, because they don’t see what you see…yet. Come back to them later. like in a few months or a year as things can “open” their window.

The next group of possible contacts is the cold market. These are people who you don’t know yet. I say “yet” because you will have to get to know them if you want to work together. There are many ways to do this today compared to the “old” days in network marketing. We used to go to shopping malls, look at stuff and meet people. We would gather business cards, we would hand out business cards too. I even taught people how to call people out of the telephone book. Wow! I don’t miss those days.

Today we use many different methods like social media, online ads and videos to generate interest. One of the problems I saw my team in the 90’s do, was to not pre-qualify the contact. They would start offering the business opportunity before they determined if they were even open to something other than what they were doing. Believe it or not, not everyone is, just because you decided to build a big network marketing business now.

Timing is everything. Using today’s methods it allows the people who are interested in  a business of their own to find you. This is the best of all worlds as the people who are led to you, are already interested in what you are doing. This makes it much easier to share the details and help them get started on the path to learning more.

Putting it all together today still takes work. It is just a different kind of work. When I started my MLM business again two years ago , I started the same as I had before. Except I skipped my friends and family this time around. No one was interested anyways. Weird how the people closest to you are the least supportive sometimes, right?

I was talking face to face to a lot of warm and cold contacts and not having much success really. It also took a ton of time. I started researching how to generate mlm leads and started looking for leaders in today’s network marketing and was fortunate to find some leaders who are doing it right. I just started following their examples and learned as much as possible from them. I am still learning actually and that’s a good thing.

HOW DO YOU BUILD MLM? ACT LIKE YOU ARE A BUSINESS OWNER

investment4If you are serious about building a network marketing business you need to treat it as a big business from the start. This means you need to invest both time and money into making it successful.

How Much Should I Invest?

Many people treat MLM or network marketing as a small, part time business that I should not have to invest money into kind of thing. Not sure why that is, but it’s not the best way to build it.

In conventional businesses people will invest thousands of dollars into a building, signage, advertising, employees, inventory, insurance etc. before they have even opened their doors or made a single dollar.

Yet when they start their MLM business they seem to be reluctant to invest anything. It takes only two things to build a business of any kind: Time or Money and most times, both. If you have no money then you must invest your time and do so at a high level.

Expectations

You cannot expect to spend 40-50 hours per week for your employer and then spend 1 hour a week building you own business and expect the money to just flood in. Set time aside and be consistent in your daily business investment of time.

Additionally the MLM business does require some investment in the form of money. You will be using it for different things than a conventional business because we don’t need any of the traditional things. In network marketing you invest money into lead generation, advertising, and learning more about business meaning it’s an investment in your own education. Like with anything new, you need to invest time and effort.

If you already knew how to start and build a successful MLM you would have one already right? If you are looking to grow your MLM to the next level then invest again. So don’t be afraid of investing in your own business and in yourself. Ultimately it’s for you and your family.

Tax Deductible?

Remember that you are a real business owner and you are entitled to the real benefits available to you. Many of your business investments and expenses are tax deductible. Advertising, Lead Generating activities, meetings, educational expenses, meals and mile may all be deductible and reduce the amount of taxes you have to pay at during tax time. Check with your tax preparer to get the list of qualified item. You don’t get to write off your expense you incur while you are going back and forth to work do you?

So remember the money you invest pays you in more than one way now. It helps you grow your business and saves you money at tax time. Think about how great that is!

Small thinking versus big thinking

OK, here’s we we get personal a bit. Are you ready?

You are, where you are in life based on the way you think. It’s not the circumstances or your upbringing or someone else’s  fault here. You need to change the way you think about how you are spending your time and money. If you want to be a millionaire listen to one and do what they did. Just follow their success pattern.

You don’t need to do what they do for a business to benefit from their methods and thinking. Watch Marcus Lemonis on the the TV show “The Profit”. It is a really great show that teaches you about a lot of excellent and valuable business principles and methods and shows the right and wrong way to think about business. It is also very fun an entertaining at the same time!

If you are really interested in building a six figure income in network marketing then you have to change the way you think about investing . Give your own business as much as you can. It pays off in the next 2-5 years in the business and the investment in your education is your for life. You will take that everywhere.

If you want to be making $10,000 per month or more you need to align your thinking with people who do.

Think Big. Earn Big.

Small investment versus a big investment

Remember you don’t need a big investment to start your REAL network marketing business. It costs anywhere from $29-$299 to start your business. That does not make it any less real or reduce the potential of making big money because you did not have to invest $100,000 or more. Don’t get hung up on not having a building everyone can see with your name on the sign. This is a Huge benefit!

In any case the name of the game is getting people to see and experience the products you offer and the opportunity they can benefit from. In any business that will take both time and money.

Why Network Marketing is not a Pyramid

I have been involved in network marketing for over 20 years. Over the years I have had people give me many different reasons why they are not interested in building a network marketing business. Some think its too good to be true. Others want a “real business”. You know the kind where you get a business loan, mortgage the house or borrow money from friends kind if “real business”.  Along the way you may also hear a common response from prospective business associates. It’s actually more of a common misconception; that some people think multi level marketing or network marketing is a “pyramid” or a “pyramid scheme”. This appears to be based their observation of the basic network marketing team structure. This being someone at the top of a tree and people below that person who; in their minds will get shafted later when the money runs out. They assume everyone who got enrolled before them will make all of the money off of the last person who joined.

I have always found this to be an odd perspective. Maybe it just comes from people who are just not really interested in building a business of their own and need a guilt free way to say “not interested”. Lets look at what a pyramid is and isn’t.

First off Pyramid schemes are illegal and generally don’t exist. One of the few things the government does well is place restrictions on businesses and prevents this type of activity pretty quickly. Most people that have this preconceived notion assume network marketing is a pyramid as soon as you draw out the network team structure. It always shows them at the top and other people under them. The also understand they are at the bottom of  someone else’s team/tree. Presumably yours.

Evidently this bothers some people who think you somehow are going to make money off of them and that this is NOT OK. After all you have to get them started and train them and provide support of all kinds for free. When you can help them become successful and build a good size income; then and ONLY then will you make a small percentage from the business volume generated. Keep in mind this is not money that will come out of their pocket either.  I really don’t see the issue. Get FREE help building your business and when you become successful the person who started and helped you gets paid something.

I don’t really think they understand that the only legal pyramid scheme is working a job. Look at any organization chart for any business in the world. There is always someone at the top and someone at the bottom. The President or CEO is above you right? Then the executive management team, next level managers then the workers below them. Right? Draw it out some time or look at your employers org chart. What do you see? Looks a lot like a pyramid in shape doesn’t it?

Who makes more? The people at the top or you? Can you make more than the manager or supervisor above you in the org chart? Probably not, unless you are in sales and earn commission. Frankly you probably work harder than your boss yet they make more money than you do. Does that sound about right?

In Network Marketing you are the CEO of your business and therefore, can make more money that the person who introduced you to the business and even more than anyone who is in the network before you; including the first person who joined. You just need to work harder and build a bigger team. It’s that simple really. That’s what we consider fair. Those that work harder and have a bigger business should always make more money than someone who doesn’t, right?

Think about it and really look into network marketing. It is still the best way to start your own business and have the lowest startup cost. The lowest risk and the training system to help you learn what to do and usually several people to help you personally when you need it.
