Should You Be Drinking Alkaline Water?

We are now seeing Alkaline water in the regular stores not just your standard health food store. Where I live in Southern California stores like Sprouts, Whole Foods and other non national chain “healthy” food stores have had alkaline water for some time now. Now we are seeing it in regular grocery stores too. It can be a very expensive and not very convenient to have to go to the stores to buy your weekly supply of Alkaline water.

Alkaline water helps you get and stay hydrated better and longer as its more able to be absorbed by your bodies cells. Additionally it helps to balance out the acidic diet that we eat. There are also some studies that indicated that most bacteria, molds and viruses thrive in an acidic environment. This will help to help your body work at its best and heal itself.

The best way is to pursue the “make at home” option. using this method allows you to make your own very easily. You can use an alkalizing solution or a filtering water pitcher that alkalizes you water on demand. I personally use the Alkalizing drops when I am not at home. I can carry it with my as its a small bottle that I just use at restaurants and at the office and when I travel. You can add these drops to any beverage and it will increase the alkalinity levels.

At home I use a filtering water pitcher. These are similar to the Brita, PUR and others.
